SPEAK. DECLARE. SCREAM. VERBALIZE. SHOUT. ARTICULATE..
Just say those words you’ve been storing up for a rainy day, because guess what? We are standing in the middle of a downpour.
For those of you who are familiar with my personality, you know that I am not exactly the most outspoken of the bunch. It used to be really, really bad–like, pathetic. I was afraid to say what I wanted to say, held captive by the fear of humiliation and embarrassment. And looking back on those days, I cannot understand why I was intimidated by any one of my classmates; after all, most of us go wayyy back (age five, to be exact).
Now, I’m learning. Growing. Building bravery. Starting this blog took a great deal of confidence on my part; I’m still not used to sharing my personal writing with all of you 🙂
I wish to strive to live life one adventure to the next. But in order for me to do that, for any of us to do that, we must beckon our great, courageous spirits to abandon their comfortable hiding places. To see the light of day. Live dangerously on the edge of what we have and what we desire.
Just say it. Be fierce, be bold, be the best possible version of yourself you can summon forth and live that life. The good life. I know it’s easier said than done, but if I’m willing to step out in fearlessness, then I know you can too.
And if you become anxious, try first speaking to the mountains. They happen to be excellent listeners.
So what’s holding you back?
There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you. – Maya Angelou
